With its pedestrianised cobbled streets and side walks, bridges, grand cafes, squares and gardens, Prague has plenty to offer to new parents travelling with a baby.

Stay at the Mandarin Oriental for a relaxing spa experience; during sightseeing, have a coffee break or a snack at the Four Seasons Hotel, with excellent baby changing facilities in the public areas, which even include good quality nappies.

There are good private clinics and hospitals with English speaking staff. Pharmacies are abundant.

Best time to go

Winters are very cold but Christmas is a magical time to visit; July and August are very hot; May, June and September enjoy pleasant temperatures and fewer crowds.
